Advantages of using different information systems:

Information systems differ in its role and functions. Sometimes we need to use more than one system to do our job at fullest. There are many features that make system unique from other. Interaction different systems together stand outs lot of their properties. Also, there are some system can't use it alone to get complete information. It should use other system type in order to support the first systems, if we use more than one system makes the information more accurate, realistic and provide data of high quality as well. In addition, there are some systems can't used alone. For example, forecasting one of the most important functions that MIS system has. Wal-Mart Company uses MIS system for monitors and inspects the operation results as well performance. Wal-Mart MIS designed to give an overall picture of the company and predict the future situation. But presence RFID system makes the situation easier. RFID can mention us when goods arrive, shipped and stored. Also, RFID help us in pick up needed inventory quickly and easily. Interaction these two system together support provide us with more valuable and accurate information. In addition helps us to limit access in some areas or areas where danger materials and items exist. Also, Business cycle changes over time which make business planning very complex. Wal-Mart need to assess and monitor factors that affect on the company growth and help the company to control those changes over time, as well as need provide insight into these factors to evolve some strategy to deal with them at the right time. For that reasons, wall-mart company found that it need to build network link between its stores to facilitate communications with low cost, so it can save money and build faster communication with its store around the world. Using satellite communications will be not enough, because we will still need to monitor the arrivals goods as we need to predicate when the next new shipping must be available in our stores as well as the numbers of items currently available to organized shipping to others stores and shops. Wal-Mart systems designed to analyze the current performance of the company and compare the differences between operation and plan in accordance with the data afforded by every functional department and then taking the appropriate actions. It's also highlighting their strengths and weaknesses which make them much more ready for taking actions and controlling situations. The continuous assessment of business progress in terms of sales, market, quality and profit is one of the characteristics of the controlling as well linked with planning.  Finally, all of these systems work in order to contribute with goals and objectives of the Wal-Mart company and it reflect the management philosophy that the company followed. Also, it affect in one way or other on performance, sales and profits of the company.

Can the information system(s) be enhanced to be more beneficial and how?!

As I said before, MIS in general lack of flexibility to update it-self so I think enhanced MIS to make it automatic updated may be useful and will save time and money. Also, if there is chance to make control the effectiveness of the MIS that will be better because the effectiveness one of the most criteria that the people look for and Gives people a greater interest because of its great importance. It also gives rise to other things.
